Medal at British Schools Championships
Six North Ayrshire TT players represented Scotland in Ireland at the British Schools International event earlier this month. Holly McNamara, Jess Hogg, Jamie Johnson, Nathan Hogg, Padma Unman and Tamara Martin made the trip to Galway as part of 20+ person Scottish team consisting of players, coaches and umpires.
Nathan Hogg (Largs Academy) had one of his best competitions to date reaching the final of U16 Boys and finishing 3rd in the U16 Boys team event with partner Daniel Tibbits. Nathan had wins v top English, Irish and Welsh players enroute to the final where he lost 3-1 in a close match v top seed and unbeaten player Krish Chotai. Holly McNamara lost out in the Quarter finals of the U18 Girls and Jamie Johnson lost out in the Quarter finals of U18 Boys.
